Fear is a protective mechanism our body and mind use to Protect us!!! However too much of anything is not good.
Because of my long history of knee surgeries and injuries, I was afraid of deep squats and lunges for a LONG time. Then with my education becoming a physical therapist….I learned there’s a correct way to build up the strength to not avoid functional tasks like squat….now look at me prayer squatting all day long!
PS: this does not mean go try moves your afraid to do…you need to gradually build up to them in most cases!
Moral of the story…..are you avoiding certain moves? Maybe a physical therapy consult is the RIGHT choice for you to talk about reaching your goals
